National Education Assessment and Examination Agency (NEAEA) is an autonomous government agency that started its operation in 1950. NEAEA is the only institution authorized to conduct national education assessments and examinations at all levels of education in Ethiopia such as the Elementary school promotion Examination, the General Certificate Examination “Ordinary Level” (GCE O level).
The main objectives of NEAEA includes; to assess the quality and standards of education, to make national examinations for different education levels, to develop curriculum for all education levels, and to research on best practices in assessment and examination.
NEAEA Student Choice Login & Registration. All students who took the General Education Leaving Examination from October 29, 2014 to November 2, 2014 Field of Study and University Selection on portal.nea.gov.et. It is recalled.
Therefore, they urge you to confirm your choice by sending your registration number to the Ministry of Education on the above mentioned website. They’ll let you know if you can adjust your preferences.

- First you need to Visit official website http://portal.neaea.gov.et/Home/LogIn
- Then carefully enter you login username and password to login to your account
- Once that done click “login” button as shown below
Register Account
If your new user then you need to start by creating account into the portal. To do so follows the steps listed below
- Visit official website NEAEA Students Choice http://portal.neaea.gov.et/Home/Register
- Then, after page open fill all the information as shown below:-
- User Type i.e School Representative and Institute Representative
- Code: Your organization code: School code, Institute code or Region code.
- Your names which are First Name, Middle Name, Last Name
- Sex that is either Male or Female
- Attachment i.e Scan a letter that shows you are assigned to the organization and attach it.
- Mobile Number
- User Name
- Password
- Confirm Password
