What do I need to take to the voting station to register?
You will need to take a green barcode South African ID book, smart card ID, or temporary identification certificate.
This will be requested by the voting officer. The voting officer will confirm if your name appears on the voter list.
If it does not, the officer will ask for proof of your registration, which the presiding officer will certify and provide you with the MEC7 form.
Also remember to take a pen with you on the trip, just in case. Black ink, not red or blue.
