Tanzania Electricity Supply Company Limited (TANESCO) has announced new electricity connection costs, with rural areas 27,000 shillings to one way customers regardless of distance or number of poles and urban costs starting at Tsh 272,000 depending on the distance from the electricity and the number of poles.
The Taneso statement states that for an urban customer who are looking toward connecting electricity within 30 meters for a one-way customer from the electricity infrastructure will be charged 320,960 shillings. For a one-way customer within 70 meters from the electricity infrastructure shillings 515,618 one-way distance within 120 meters from electrical infrastructure shillings 696,670
In addition, the cost of connecting urban electricity within 30 meters for a three-way customer from the electricity infrastructure will be charge Tanzanian shillings 912,014 while for a three-way customer within 70 meters from the electricity infrastructure will be charged shillings 1,249,385, and a three-way distance within 120 meters from electrical infrastructure shillings 1,639,156
