As soon as the new vacancies were announced at TAMISEMI – Candidates across Tanzania were able to submit an online application for teaching health positions announced by TAMISEMI when the original deadline was set at 4th April. However, Innocent Bashungwa – Minister of State, Office of the President for Regional Administration and Local Government – extended this deadline to 10th April after appeals from applicants who weren’t able to make it due to constraints such as lack of internet connectivity.

The Office of the President, Regional Administration and Local Government notifies all applicants who have applied for the position of Teacher and Health Cadres from 20/04/2022 to 08/05/2022 that the process of analyzing the applications received has been completed. In addition, applicants for Teacher Training and Health Cadres who meet the criteria have been assigned to work in Hospitals, Health Centers, Dispensaries, Primary and Secondary Schools in various Councils in the country.

Regional Governments and Local Authorities are a full ministry which is under the Presidency and managed by the Minister of State assisted by two deputies as managers. There is also the Secretary General who is the Chief Executive Officer of the Government’s activities.
One of the tasks of this Ministry is to coordinate all regional development plans with Local Authorities under the presidential office. The administration of this Ministry is under the Minister who is also a member of the Cabinet of Tanzania.
The Ministry also coordinates and supervises development planning and sectoral interventions on donor-supported programs at district and other locals levels; issues ministerial guidelines to Regional Secretariats and Local Government Authorities; and strengthens the channel of communication and information flow between the national and sub-national levels.
