Below are the general entry requirements applied at the Kilimanjaro Institute of Technology and Management
Besic certificate (NTA 4)
- Form four with a minimum of four passed, excluding religious Subject OR VETA (NVA 3) Certificate of related course
Certificate (NVA 1) in information Technology,
- Form Four or above
Certificate in Front office & Hotel Management,
- Form Four or above

Certificate (NVA 2) in Business courses,
- Form Four with a minimum of 2 passed
Ordinary Diploma in information Technology or Business course (NTA 6)
- At least one principal pass and subsidiary in A level OR
- A basic Certificate (NTA 4) recognized by NACTE

Ordinary Diploma in Accountancy
- Holders of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with at least four (4) passes in non-religious subjects OR National vocational Award (NVA ) Level III with Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE)
- Holders of Basic Technician Certificate (NTA Level 4) in Accountancy OR Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE) with at least one Principal pass and Subsidiary in Principal subjects
Ordinary Diploma in Business Administration
- Holders of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with at least four (4) passes in non-religious subjects OR National Vocation Award (NVA) III with Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE)
- Holders of Basic Technician Certificate (NTA Level 4) in Business Administration, Accountancy, Banking and Finance, Tax, Human Resource Management, Marketing OR Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE) with at least one Principal pass and Subsidiary in Principal subjects.
Ordinary Diploma in Computing and Information Communication Technology
- Holders of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with at least four (4) passes in non-religious subjects OR National Vocational Award (NVA) III Trade Test I in a relevant field with Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE).
- Holders of Basic Technician Certificate (NTA Level 4) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Information Technology OR Advanced Certificate of Secondary Examination (ACSEE) with at least one Principal pass and one Subsidiary in Principal subjects.
Ordinary Diploma in Procurement and Supply
- Holders of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with at least four (4) passes in non-religious subjects OR National Vocation Award (NVA) III with Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE)
- Holders of Basic Technician Certificate (NTA Level 4) in Procurement and Supply, Logistics, Clearing and Forwarding OR Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE) with one Principal pass and Subsidiary in Principal subjects
