The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has made it very easy for R350 Special Covid-19 Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant applicants to track their applications by providing them with the status of their applications online.
How To Check SASSA R350 Grant Application Status Online?
- Go to the SASSA SRD grant website
- Scroll down to ‘Application status’
- Click on ‘Click here to check online’
- Fill in the required fields
- You should then be able to see the status of your R350 grant application
This way applicants can check to see if they have been approved for the grant or whether they do not qualify or should lodge an appeal if they feel like their application has been denied for a rea son that they believe is not fair.

When Will SASSA R350 Grant Application Closed?
Applications for the Special Covid-19 SRD Grant (more commonly known as the R350 Grant) will end in March 2022. The Grants have been reintroduced to provide financial relief to poor and vulnerable South Africans who need help to meet their families basic needs. Or personal basic needs while the country is fighting the influence of Covid-19.
All requests will be treated as new applications every month. However, each applicant will only need to apply once to be considered for their application each month.
