The RAMP-ERA Program was established by the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021 (Pub. L. No. 116-260). The RAMP-ERA Program provides funding to eligible households who have difficulty paying rent or utilities in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. Mississippi Home Corporation (“MHC”) administers the program for Mississippi. The state received $186,696,633.80 for the “Program”.
Priority will be given to eligible households that have been unemployed for at least ninety (90), days before applying for assistance. Also, households with incomes below fifty percent of area median will be considered for assistance. Eligible households can receive up to twelve (12), months of assistance and an additional three months if MHC deems necessary to ensure housing stability (subject the availability of funds).
