Chamwino District is one of the seven districts of the Dodoma Region of Tanzania. It is bordered to the north by Chemba District, to the east by Manyara Region, Kongwa District and Mpwapwa District, to the south by Iringa Region, and to the west by Singida Region, Bahi District and Dodoma District. Its administrative seat is the town of Chamwino.

Chamwino District Council is one of the eight local government authorities in Dodoma region. It lies on the central plateau of Tanzania in the western bearing along Dar es Salaam road.  The district has a total area of 8,056 km. square.

Administratively the district council is divided into 5 divisions 36 wards, 107 villages and 820 hamlets there are also two parliamentary electoral constituencies namely Chilonwa, and Mtera.

The Executive Director of Chamwino District Council would like to inform all job applicants who have applied for the job of Village Executive Grade III and Special Secretary III announced through the announcement dated 23/05/2022 that the interview is expected to take place on 04/07/2022 to 07 / 07/2022 in the hall of Chamwino Secondary School from 1:30 AM. Those who pass the selection will have their names posted on the Chamwino District Council website (www.chamwinodc.do.tz) and will be posted on the Chamwino District Council Advertising bulletin boards.
