It is located between latitudes 10015′ South and 11034′ South and longitudes 34024′ East and 35028′ East. Nyasa District borders Mozambique to the South, Malawi to the West, Mbinga and Songea districts to the East, and Ludewa district to the North. The District headquarters is Mbambabay and construction work has commenced. Residents of Nyasa District view being split from relatively wealthy Mbinga as an opportunity, and not as a disadvantage.

Good News For all who applied for the job vacancies announced by Nyasa District Council. The district has now published the list of applicants who are called to the interview which will be held soon.
The Executive Director of Nyasa District Council would like to inform the job applicants who have applied to fill the vacancies of the Kipp Grade Ill Executive, Special Secretary III, Record Keeper 11 and Driver f that, the interview is expected to be conducted on 22 – 25/06/2022 and finally recruiting in the Public Service job applicants who will pass the interview.
