BEC BGCSE Examination Timetable 2022
The general certificate of secondary education (GCSE) is a standardised qualification taken in the final year of high school in most of the world. It is an academic assessment that leads to a certificate that can be used to continue to the next level of education, typically college or university. Students take a set of subjects that count towards their overall grade. Subjects can be from Mathematics, English, Geography, History, Religious Studies, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Practice or Theory. Different subjects usually require different learning styles, so it is important that GCSE students are prepared for this.
In Botswana the general certificate of secondary education examinations are monitored by BEC Botswana Examinations Council which is mandated under section 5 of the Botswana Examinations Council Act (Act No 11 of 2002) as amended by the Botswana Examinations Amendment Act, 2019 to manage, conduct examinations and assessments in general education and technical, vocational education and training and to award certificates in respect of the said examinations and assessments.
